Halloween Candy – Worst to Best

Halloween Candy – Worst to Best

When raking in the yearly haul, I think we can all admit that when certain things appear in our stash we get a squeal with glee, while other ‘candies’ make us grimace with revulsion.

To better understand the trade-in value of your stash, and to know which candies to nab from you kids baskets when they are not looking, we’ve ranked the most common Halloween candies from worst to best;

  • Pennies
  • Sugar Free Gum
  • Circus Peanuts
  • Good & Plenty
  • Runtz
  • Mister Goodbar
  • Raisinets
  • Payday
  • Tootsie Rolls
  • Mike and Ike
  • Junior Mints
  • Laffy Taffy
  • Sixlets
  • Haribo Gummies
  • Jawbreaker
  • Butterfinger
  • Now and Later
  • Warheads
  • Smarties
  • Dots
  • Baby Ruth
  • Mounds / Almond Joy
  • Tootsie Pop / Blow Pop
  • Candy Corn
  • Dum Dums
  • Twizzlers
  • Jolly Ranchers
  • Crackle
  • Crunch (Nestle)
  • Snickers
  • Swedish Fish
  • 3 Musketeers
  • Starburst
  • MilkyWay
  • Nerds
  • M&M’s
  • Hershey’s
  • Skittles
  • Kit Kat
  • Sour Patch Kids
  • Twix
  • Reese’s
  • Whoppers!!!

One of the best parts about Halloween in undoubtedly reveling in your haul. Comparing what you got with your siblings or friends had and trading accordingly.

Our rankings are subjective, as are everyone’s preferences in the great candy debate. And what this means is that, even though Reese’s rate pretty highly on most people’s preference lists, you can get a pretty darn good exchange rate if you have a friend with a peanut aversion.

The goblins are settling down, the ghouls have gone home, and your little monsters are tucked into bed for the night… or not.

Given the frankly prodigious amounts of candy they have likely consumed in one evening, it is entirely possible that those little monsters are still bouncing off the walls somewhere in the house… did you just hear a crash? Might want to go check that out real quick…

… … … … …

… and you’re back! So while your kids, and even some adults, continue to rain sugared terror across the house, just settle in for the night and flip on a good family spooky Halloween movie … might I recommend ‘When Good Ghouls Go Bad?’
