Science, STEM, STEAM and Critical Thinking Skill for Summer

Learning about science at a young age should not be about memorization and facts. It should be about curiosity, asking questions, learning HOW to ask questions to get a better understanding of what is going on. That is what the scientific process is all about. It is how Isaac Newton developed his theories on physics and how Nikola Tesla created a wireless charging system a full century before our cell phones were capable of the same achievement. They had questions about the world and how it worked and what would happen if they tweaked one little thing. And so the asked, and they tested, and the observed, and they learned.

Encourage your kids to ask questions and give them platforms in which to do so. If you do nothing else with your kids this summer, keeping them curious is the best way to keep their minds active and developing.
